AKAPANA INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SEMINAR IN RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS

TRAINING EVENT THAT THE RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND ANTHROPOLOGICAL WAS THE NEED
UMSA
With great tact, San Andrés University through its Vice-chancellor The DIPGIS and support of the National Academy of Sciences is organizing a seminar on Intellectual Property which addressed issues such as intellectual property rights in the international arena and in Bolivia, the rights and Adjusting for copyright, patents, resources genetic and scientific publications.

There is a real need to orient the whole archaeological community university (of all grades of instruction), because plagiarism and infringement overlapping (and often open) has become standard practice, mainly due to the vicious practice of outsourcing that many researchers (contractors) "strategically located "and endowed with the required level, are students, alumni and even professional title, which makes them develop research in return for meager emonumentos, appropriating everything work and stripping them of all their rights over their own intellectual production .

Similarly, with Internet development and publishing of digital goods, the college students (and in many cases teachers) use and abuse of these publications to produce reports, essays, articles and even theses based on collages obtained without any respect for copyright.

San Andrés University, through its headquarters and staff career, should adopt a tough policy towards such practices, so that in future there is a clear awareness of professional respect for the intellectual, and evaluating - in its proper dimension - the creative efforts of those who produce and disseminate scientific research and develop an intellectual product.
